A Non Traditional Calendar

Project Description

The goal of this project was to create a non-traditional calendar showcasing time through typographic design. I chose to focus on Alzheimer’s and the toll that the disease takes on both those affected and their families. I kept a minimal design to mimic the feeling of a hospice or medical care center and really focused on the numbers and organization within. There are blurred, missing, and highlighted numbers that represent different symptoms of Alzheimers or the affected brain cells. As you move through the calendar, it becomes more hectic and harder to understand further representing the later stages of the disease.
